The Natural Room Emporium

We’re definitely not antique experts and don’t profess to be ……. we simply buy with our eyes, and what we buy is based on personal taste. That way, we stay enthusiastic about not only the pieces we have in stock, but also those we’re still to find. It’s great because we never know what we’re going to discover next!

Once we find a piece, if necessary, it’s restored, repaired, cleaned, polished, even sometimes adapted to suit a specific purpose, and made ready for the home, business or wherever its final destination is to be.

From an Architectural background we have a keen eye for design and have strong spatial awareness. This carries through to and influences our showrooms and their contents. 

Our stock varies widely but we’re particularly interested in 18th & 19th Century furniture. This forms the core of our showrooms which are then accessorised by hand selected curiosities, taxidermy and art. 

We spend time at Auction, scour other dealers both in Northern Ireland and further afield, go to trade fairs, carry out house clearances or simply make things! Everything we do, we do ourselves. From sourcing to restoration, promotion and advertising, shop keeping and delivery. That way, our customers get a friendly personal service and we can keep our prices competitive.

We trade from our shop premises at 68-70 Castle Street, in the town of Comber, County Down and carry out our restoration work in our workshop at our home, only 5 minutes down the road. It works!…oh, and if you fancy a coffee while you browse our little imaginarium, we’ll make you one!
