As part of the Comber Earlies celebrations, Comber Chamber of Commerce invited a group of fabulous foodies to the town to sample the Comber Earlies.  They included Kim Lenaghan from BBC Radio Ulster; Belfast Telegraph food reviewer Joris Minne;  and online reviewers The Gourmet Boys –  aka Brian Haslett and Mark Irvine.  The culinary group visited three restaurants in Comber to experience dishes featuring Comber Earlies prepared by local chefs.    They had a starter in McBride’s on the Square, moved on to  No 14 Georgian House for their main course and finished off in the Sugarcane Cafe Bistro for desserts and coffee.  The Chamber look  forward to reading their reviews in print and on social media.  Judging by their comments as they ate their meals, there is no doubt that they enjoyed the day and the food immensely.
