Comber Chamber of Commerce has welcomed the arrival of a Brent Goose floral sculpture in Comber Square. The Brent Goose is one of five floral creations that has been erected as part of Ards and North Down Council’s Covid Recovery Plan in the main towns of the Borough – Comber, Newtownards, Bangor, Holywood and Donaghadee.
Alderman Deborah Girvan, Chairperson of Comber Chamber of Comber, said, “The Brent Goose has caused quite a stir in Comber! Everybody is talking about it! It is a magnificent piece of ‘living’ floral art. At the moment, the goose is looking rather bare but in a couple of weeks’ time when the plants have taken root and grown, it will be absolutely beautiful.”
To celebrate Comber re-opening after the latest Lockdown, Comber Chamber of Commerce is running a Brent Goose Selfie Competition. Send your ‘Goose’ selfies to admin@lovelocalcomber.com along with your name, address and telephone number and confirm that you are happy to have it published on social media and www.lovelocalcomber.com website.
