Comber Chamber of Commerce has organised a Letter to Santa competition for local children in two categories, P1 – P3 and P4 – P7.  Children are invited to write a letter to Santa to tell him what they would like for Christmas and post it in a specially prepared post box that can be found in:

  • Comber Post Office from Monday 30 November to Saturday 5 December and
  • Livingstone’s Newsagents from Sunday 6 December to Sunday 13 December.

Alderman Deborah Girvan, Chairperson of Comber Chamber of Commerce said, “The Coronavirus pandemic has changed the way we live, work and play.   It has been such a gloomy period in our lives, especially for children.  To cheer everyone up, Comber Chamber of Commerce would like children to write a letter to Santa Claus and tell him what they want for Christmas.  Instructions can be downloaded from Love Local Comber Facebook page or the Love Local Comber website www.lovelocalcomber.com  It is important that children add their name, class and contact telephone number on their letter before popping it in an envelope addressed to Santa Claus, North Pole and posting it in the special post box.  To make their letter more interesting, children are encouraged to draw a picture on their page.”

Local author Carol Kravetz of Bathville Books will judge the letters and four winners will be announced on Tuesday 15 December.  Winners will receive a very special prize on Thursday 17 December at Comber Farmers’ Market at 5.00pm!
